Sara Gutierrez was born in Tepic Nay, Mexico, she studied an undergraduate in Biology and a Master’s in Ecology at UNAM in Mexico City. She moved to the United States at the age of 25 where she got a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences in Albuquerque New Mexico. After graduation, she moved to Massachusetts where she worked as a Scientist in Research and Development. She was the team lead in various projects, collaborated in the development of cutting-edge products, and is a co-author in several Scientific papers. She is retired after 25 years of service at MilliporeSigma and lives in Seattle WA
