Michael Duran

Senior Vice President and Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer, 3M.

Michael Duran was named 3M’s chief ethics & compliance officer in 2019 and leads 3M’s global team that protects 3M from compliance risk and builds upon 3M’s strong ethical culture.

He joined 3M in 2011 as an assistant general counsel and compliance director and led the team responsible for nine successful years of Ethisphere’s “World’s Most Ethical Companies” recognition.

Previously, he held numerous compliance and finance roles with other multinational companies.

Michael has earned three degrees, holding a JD (Illinois), an MBA (Indiana), and a bachelor’s in finance (DePaul). Bar admission: Illinois (active); Minnesota (active); Nevada (inactive).
