Luz Magaña
Executive Director of HSI Initiatives, Valparaiso University
Luz Magaña migrated to the United States from Mexico City at a very young age. A DACA recipient, she is the first in her family to graduate college, Luz has dedicated most of her professional career to motivating students to reach their potential by pursuing post-secondary education or training. Previously, Luz helped organize and conduct the largest Hispanic leadership conference in the nation and is currently the Executive Director of Hispanic Serving Institution Initiatives at a university. Luz hopes that her story inspires others to take advantage of all opportunities to better themselves and advance the community.
