Leopoldo Gout

Besides having worked in galleries around the world, Leopoldo has written, published, and produced films, documentaries, television, and books for more than a decade. He and co-author, Ana Aridjis, are turning their book Monarca into an experiential installation taking the audience on the journey of the Monarch butterflies from Canada to Mexico. He co-wrote Netflix’s The Chosen One with Everardo Gout based on Mark Millar’s American Jesus. His fifth and most recent novel, Piñata, is being adapted by a major studio and Leopoldo produced the enthralling docuseries Carlos about fellow immigrant Carlos Santana’s Latin-gone-psychedelic rock-n-roll life.
