Owner, Villa Mexico Cafe.

Julie King is the founding owner of Villa México Café. Known as “”Momma King,”” she’s been a
mentor, an adoptive mom, and a Boston food industry personality that loves cooking and
sharing good food with her friends (customers). The restaurant is not a business, it is part of her
home, and when you visit you get it all- good, bad, happy or sad. Despite many barriers, Julie
persevered without investors or partners. Always reminding her employees and customers alike
that “”it’s not about me, it’s about us,”” while sharing authentic Mexican culture with the people of
New England through food.
