Jessica Gómez
Dental student, The University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics
Jessica Gómez is the oldest of four Mexican-American children. She grew up in Oak Lawn, IL and attended Marquette University for her Honors Bachelors in Psychology and Biological Sciences. Jessica will be spending the next four years at the University of Iowa, studying to obtain her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.
Aside from writing, Jessica has a passion for advocating for and guiding other first-generation college students. She is a committed researcher, presenting her work at national conferences. She aims to one day open many doors for Latina women who aspire to go into dentistry by creating a scholarship fund.
