HECTOR FERNANDEZ

Hector Fernandez was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, and immigrated to Miami, Florida, with his family in the 1990s. Before completing his MBA at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, he worked in investment management. He worked in New York City for J.P. Morgan in their technology, media, and telecom investment banking group and later in the Harris Williams Consumer & Food group. Hector joined Cargill in 2013 and founded Cargill’s Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) group as well as taking on divisional CFO responsibilities. From 2018-2020 he served as president of Cargill Risk Management and in prior years was chair of the Cargill Hispanic & Latino Council.
