Cristina Garcia

Cristina Garcia is a Latina & New Yorker, working at the Building Electrification Institute, an organization assisting cities transition away from fossil fuels. Cristina’s role is focused on inclusive workforce policies that will enable an equitable transition benefiting all.

Cristina’s passion for workforce, diversity, and inclusion led to her founding Latinxs in Sustainability in 2017, a group informing Latinx students about sustainability careers while connecting and growing the Latinx professional community. Cristina was awarded the U.S. DOE Clean Energy Education and Empowerment Award for Advocacy in 2020 and the City & State’s NYC 40 Under 40 Rising Stars in 2021.
