Alicia Ponce-Nuñez is the founder and principal of APMonarch, an architecture firm with an expertise in sustainable design. Considered as pollinators of the built environment, Alicia has led her team to build radically better buildings. APMonarch’s notable projects include The Field Museum, Midway International Airport, University of Chicago, and Exelon. An alumnus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Alicia is proud to be in the 1 percent of Latina licensed architects in the United States and 20 percent who are female. She is happily married to Cesar, and they have two kids that keep her inspired and motivated daily.
